Please find on this page the consultation document and reply form for the consultation with maintained schools on the central retention of Dedicated Schools Grant from April 2018. The document details the background to the consultation and the specific areas in which the views of maintained schools are being sought. All consultation responses will be collated and included in a report to Schools Forum, who will meet on Thursday 7 December 2017 to determine which if any funds will be de-delegated and/or top-sliced from maintained school budgets from April 2018.
Please note that a separate paper and form will be sent out early next week in respect of the de-delegation options for the provision of school improvement services for maintained schools. My apologies for this not being ready in time to go out with the main consultation document.
The consultation will run through to the close of business on Friday 24 November 2017. Scanned copies of completed consultation forms should be emailed to schoolfunding@shropshire.gov.uk . Alternatively, completed forms can be faxed to 01743 340034.
