Assessment Conference - 17 January 2017

A fantastic opportunity for your KS2/KS3 Transition Leads to get the latest analysis of the first year of the new assessment and accountability measures at Primary level and to understand the current national and local thinking about where it is headed in the future. Steve Anwyll, formerly Head of National Assessment at Ofqual, will be taking the morning session at the Shropshire Assessment Conference 2017, sharing his uniquely authoritative understanding of assessment policy and practice and what it means for schools.

The afternoon session will be taken by Claire Gadsby a well know education specialist, trainer and author of “Prefect Assessment for Learning”. Claire will be presenting best practice strategies for sustainable and impactful assessment for learning.

All of the big names in primary assessment (iTrack, Classroom Monitor, Rising Star etc.) will be exhibiting at the conference alongside several new contenders that you may not have heard of yet.  This is a unique opportunity to see them side by side, find out what they offer and investigate which is the best at meeting the needs of your school.

Colleagues from the secondary phase should be able to take away with them a thorough understanding of primary assessment, nationally and locally, and insight into how this knowledge can be help to support the learning of current and future year 7 cohorts.
