SLS supports the curriculum and schools' own library provision, through advice, training, practical help and the loan of books and other resources from a stock of some 250,000 items. It enables schools to access a bigger range of resources than they could buy themselves, to support literacy and learning. We deliver direct your school.

SLS provides advice and training through CPD courses and Library Managers' Update meetings and also through sessions with library staff, input to departmental meeting or PD days and informal discussions with individual teachers. Staff continue to run the successful Pupil Library Assistant Training Scheme and contribute to information skills programmes, reading promotions, extended schools and other activities.
