The well established, annual Create-IT Awards celebrate the ICT and computing work produced by pupils throughout Shropshire state schools.
Entries can now be submitted for the 2015 Create IT! awards.
The categories are:
EYFS - My ICT creation
Key stage 1 - Animation, Multimedia creation and e-safety
Key stage 2 - Animation, Video, Programming and e-safety
Key Stage 3 - Animation, Programming, Video and e-safety
Key Stage 4 - Animation, Programming, Video, e-safety
Entries for the EYFS category 'My ICT creation' can be made in any software - we are looking for some creativity and self-expression using ICT
Entries for the programming category can be made in any suitable sofware. At key stage 2 this might be Scrtach, Kodu, Lego WeDo, Logo, Flowol etc and at key stages 3 and 4 this may be Scratch, Kodu, Python, app design software etc
Entries for the e-safety category can be made using any software. They should convey e-safety messages to parents or pupils. The Shropshire Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) will be sponsoring the e-safety category.
Entries for all categories need to be submitted by Friday 6th February 2015.
The top 3 in each category will be shortlisted and invited to attend the awards ceremony on the evening of Wednesday 25th March at William Brookes School. The winner in each category will win a trophy and a £50 voucher.
Please remember that entries can be by a maximum of 3 pupils (in rare occasions we may allow 4!).

If you have any large files then they could be uploaded to a Dropbox, GoogleDrive or Skydrive account and the link e-mailed to us.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can be entered into the video category?
Any video that has been shot and edited by pupils can be entered.
Why is there a limit of 3 pupils per entry?
There is a seating capacity in the Awards venue - if we allow more than 3 pupils per entry then we have issues ensuring that we do not exceed the capacity.
How many entries can a school make?
We would like schools to limit their entries to 3 per category.
When will pupils and staff be told of the shortlisted entries?
Staff are informed in early March and schools are sent letters to pass on to pupils.
Are parents and teachers invited to the awards ceremony?
Each child is given 2 guest tickets for the awards ceremony. The teachers involved with creating shortlisted entries are also sent a ticket.
